LOOK AGAIN! My question was "which came first Satellite or CATV?" Community Antenna is the begining of pay television. The "model-T" of purchased reception. I beg anyone to say otherwise.
Not all channels are received from satellite...but i don't want to argue little points. If you read the whole thread you'll see I was not saying cable tv had a better picture. I was trying to explane to some people satellite installers don't have to know much, and if this affends anyone... you're not a real cable dawg anyway.
I don't like to brag but i actually was in the exact location of the first head end. Tech said nothing left of the original building or towers but the road to the top of the mountain was breath-taking. Not because of the view but the history of the place.
