what have we become

In our society, it is perhaps impossible to formulate a true philosophical understanding of freedom, as it is a concept and a state of existence we have never truly experienced, let alone understood. Instead, we allow those in power, those who are destroying the earth, to define “freedom” for us.The insidious genius of the system is that it has made it much easier to simply play along than to resist and act freely. These men, save one, who created this war in Iraq, refused to participate in the last great war and I find it quite odd that "we the people" were so beguiled once again. Who knows maybe we deserve it for our complete disregard for the obvious. Maybe we were like the Jew in the concentration camp, unable to act for fear of death. Not realizing that he was going to die either way. Does anyone really believe that this war in Iraq will end without the people demanding it end ?

Anyway, while I was reviewing Blue's DR. Hook video, I realized not only am I old but there was a time when I was full of ideals. So I listened to some songs of my youth and thought I might share a couple, so enjoy.
