guys quit yer bitchin if you aint makin good money in this business then you either need to find a new area, get off yer lazy ass, or just quit all together! im sure ill get hate replies for sayin that, but i just stopped doin installs completely this summer and i was makin $1800 - $2000 a week workin 6 days some late nites and some outta town work, but as a utiltitarian cable guy i got used for everything from installs/discos, coax/fiber splicing. aerial const., towers, and head end. i've only been in cable/phone work for bout 8 years myself and wasn't around during old skool glory days, but the old days are gone... face it... if you cant do more than one thing now seems as though you either have to travel or get screwed. not tryin to piss anyone off and definately not bitchin cuz i LOVE what i do everyday. when i stop liking my job ill quit for sure, but until then im here and fightin on bros.
