Some of us aren't "pole monkeys" anymore because the pay is shameful. I think the negative responses are exactly what the OP needs to see. I'm sure some people will tell their tales of making 2k before they leave the shop each morning, but nobody is being done any favors when people are painting this industry wearing rose-colored glasses.
