Sounds to me like this is your first attempt at management and one of the postings hit the nail on the head. He said are you not asking the right questions. Good response but you must realize that management positions are packed with stress and but kissing and not one company is alike. Keep doing your homework and be patient. The right job will come along.

Bottom line is that there isn't a bottom line because every company pays different and some offer benefits and some don't. If you are doing all of this running for a small contractor then make a deal with them or prepare a resume and try to better yourself. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!!
