still seeking onan advice

This is probably getting old to most of you out there, but just need a little help. Got some great advice from you guys out there. I cant seem to find the white ceramic diode that southern mentioned on his hit back. Problem: motor runs when starter button pushed, dies when button released. As always thanks for any input.
