What's up with Comcast?

I was wondering......has anybody heard of any start up for Comcast?.......I got a phone call the other day and was told that some of their "behind the scenes key people" were fired....I was shocked......these people that were let go, they had a genuine concern for the "plant" and spoke up about it........It seems if you are a SHMUCK....you keep your job......I don't understand it....anybody heard of anything?........Starting too loose everything.....I'm selling off stuff and working hard too keep a- float but the canoe is sinking fast........
