Hell bush, we have had to do that with the telephone companys for years, cable is just catching up...cable is matched to the print, you check out that footage of cable and it is installed per the print...and hope the engineer measured it right...they pay cable footage, end to end, not map footage. Maybe CATV will adapt this method, I doubt it, their managers will never figure out how to charge cable footage, FO gives the a big enough problem.. And they are too cheap to pay for footages marked on the coax...and can you imagine that disaster, ( lets see the 500 cable is, start footage, 02589 and the ending is 02115, way too hard to do this math for the big boys..might cut down on their R&R time at the coffee shop trying to impress the snagled tooth waitress with the big bo-bs.
