I think that my reply to another post started your rant.
You need to know that I am by no means a rookie, newbie or hack.
I am a professional technician, with a $20,000 work truck with every tool imaginable and necessary to make me more money.
My experience includes splicing, sweeping, plant design, underground, aerial, maintenance, CATV and SMATV headend, home automation, MDU's, city-wide wi-fi, dbs, and satellite internet.
I'm sure that a standard residential tech can get by with a 1995 windstar and a set of black&decker tools, but that wouldn't cut it for my level of work.
BTW a standard residential guy is just an installer.
A technician is someone that has gone the extra mile to learn more and earn more in this industry.
