are these the headend rack laser and return modules you talking about or node modules?

If there H.E. than the transmitter should have 17db flat across the spectrum.

The RX should have light hitting it not RF. You can go to the setup menu on both and they will tell you if your hitting them hot or low.

If there node equipment then 1mW max on the forward and 20db on the return.
If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking.
