It also has to do with ground cond. Where, what type of soil, how far, package size, to many variants. It is all about what you prefer. I have only used self cont.. DW and Vermeer. Can't say I like one more than the other. The difference I can speak of is what electronics you use. Sonde and locater. IT all makes a dif. in the price at the end of the bill.
