I had the exact same issue with SA 1 gig. The sweep trace seemed ok at 2 or 3 in cascade, but once I got 4 or 5 in cascade, my sweep started rolling off. I was told that the problem is the 1 gig SA passives. SA makes 3 gig passives which take care of the problem but I don't think any system is going to spend the extra money for that. I tried the trims that I had but none would take out the hump. SA is suppose to make trims for 1 gig. I have the entire pdf for the system trims if you like. Maybe you could order some from SA to see if they woul help. C-Cor make trims that work great for sweeping out to 1 gig. I left the job before the issues was resolved. You can re-spliced and replaced all you want but nothing will help. SA knows about the problem.
