If you get uhf analog the digitals always come in better,they either work or they don't .I always use the existing uhf antenna with a Blonder tongue preamp before the splitter.The one time I had a lot of fade problems I used cut to channel preamps on each channel,it worked good. If you are trying to prove signal levels to somebody else thats another story.I have been doing this 8vsb conversion to analog for 5 years and love it.Good luck Chuck
