splicer 4 life is correct, 9 10ths posession is the law, you just bought it from him for the sum owed to you. he can't really do chit about it , he handed you the meter didn't he, well all you got to say is he gave it to you, even if he says you stole it he has to have proof of a crime has been commited, he is trying to scare you don't fall for it. the burden of proof lies with him. i'd play his game to your advantage.
