Just read your post and saw Cal-Tel in your message, brings back old memories...I worked for Bob Owens in SF, Daily City a bunch of years back..was a good man..climbed a lot of poles back then for my 5.37 an hour and 70.00 a week T&E..if you remember in Daly City you couldn't hook the poles, almost every pole was stepped..telco would make you buy the pole if they found gaff marks on them..I also spliced for AMECO on a discade system the were building there, Buddy Strahn, Woody Wooden and Gil Heiser were Supv's there then.
