Re: Just get rid of welfare

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm sure you all will, but quite a while ago I read about welfare in the beginning it was designed to help out people who were down on they're luck. It did originally have a time limit. (I don't remember how long) After the limit was reached, any monies received from that point you were expected to pay a portion of it back. It was originally designed to get you on your feet so you could go back to work. It was never intended to be a LIFESTYLE. It dumbfounds me that now someone that is in this country illegally can get free medical, housing, and now I see on the news they are getting an education. Not just 1st thru 12th grade but college.
