pay diff with switching to sub contractor

i've been an employee based contractor since i started (2001) but now i'm looking to switch to 1099..can u guys tell have much an average sub makes a year(for cable installers NOT LINE WORK)....being employee based in jersey the most i cleared in one year was 45k
