Look, the point is that people should be debating the topic and not slinging personal insults. We can go to all levels of political correctness where anything bad said about Christians is too offensive, then we apply the same for our Muslim members, immigrants, etc. I don't see the need for PC police. This is a Broadband forum with thousands of members all having different viewpoints on these off-topic discussions. If someone's idea is too extreme in your view then either disagree civilly or put them on ignore. Name-calling crosses the line.
After reading over the Off-topic section I'm actually impressed with the discussions that have taken place on some touchy subjects without any sort of flame war starting. That's great, exactly how it should be.
