I feel the exact same way. Though, sometimes I think I scare companies away with my extensive background.
Then when and if some new company comes into an area I have worked before - they wonder why didn't it last. After explaining that I expect to get paid for what I do, and how 16 hour days are something I have outgrown, everything seems to change and the job ...not to mention the company no longer seems to be there.
What a complete waste of my time and talent.
Now, if looking to go to a "regular" job I never know quite the correct response or a great way to say how bad I have been screwed over by the companies and see that I have about an average of a 6 month work history per company because they all end up going under! MOst are dumbfounded by the hours worked..and have the same response "...for cable TV?!"
I have not found a company in SC that is stable. I am sick of hanging my hat somewhere just to loose my shirt in the end.
