Re: no more sub/contractors in Il?

I have to agree about the 1099 in the chicago area. It is all a total BS. Whatever happend to being asked if you could do a job? Contractors are not supposed to get their work a day before and routed by the HSP. That to me is an employee. So I am glad that this will go into effect gets rid of alot of scam artists out there. I am stuck in this situation and because of it its hard for me to conduct other business when I know the HSP is going to shove crap my may and its either take it and eat or throw it in their face and work with another supossed contractor doing the same thing. Is it just me or are all the companies in IL for directv ran by the same HSP? just different rates and different person paying you is all I see. So as I see it I like the contractor I'm with, but as soon as I can I'm on something else. Feel too much like an employee now that there are no installs here no more.
