a lot of bs goes with it, starting from pole/ped take readings upstream,downstream,noise - and if everything checks out, check for ground not a splitter ground but a ground block,take readings again,in some areas if it is prewired with 59 u hav 2 upgrade 2 rg6 in others it'll be just fine depending on readings at the EMTA,b4 activating the EMTA put it in the account make sure the codes are right if not -welcome to hell,if the house has an alarm make sure it is compatible with VOIp and put it on test mode if not u'll be leaving the house in handcuffs (not always tho).....the activation and the alarm are the main Pain in the a**,the phone part and the cable are just kind of simple.
