Hybrid, thanks you for voicing what all of us know, what it takes to become American. I have a friend who came from China 5 years ago as a Student to a University, spoke no English, China allows you to read and write english, not speak it... He learned it well in 1 year, still doesn't always get our slang though... He speaks english ALWAYS , unless he is speaking to his parents on the phone who reside in China. He is in San Fransisco as an intern naking $105,000 a year, he is only 31 and has a doctural degree... He loves this country and is on his way to becoming american.
