Ok that makes sense. But if you provide the truck, gas, and tools as a W-2 employee. You do not receive a tax deduction. The only trade off I see is if your health insurance is adequate and paid 100%. No employee contribution. Anything other than that, forget the prices. You’re getting screwed before you leave the shop.

On second thought. You have to use more than $200 to $300 in gas a month. Prices aside, employee based does not sound like a deal in your favor.
