If you are running an analog system and provide internet I would suggest from wall plate a two way splitter one side to the modem the other side to a high pass filter then to the tv/vcr ... If you are offering digital service and the customer has a questionable tv I would think that the converter alone would be enough to keep noise from getting back into the plant. So you would not need a high pass filter in that situation.
