I agree. I know of NECA contractors who are paying $29/30 an hour with health benefits as compensation for CATV work. But those and other good places are way too few and cant be considered a true reflection of this industry. About 95% of CATV contractors are still working on rates for 1995, some 1985, and its now 2007.
Retirement??? LOL.....Good joke. But I do wonder whats gonna happen to most guys when that time of their life comes. Its actually a scarey thought.
