Been on both sides of the fence. For the first twelve yrs, I worked for contractors, both units and hourly. When the work was there, the checks were big, but not steady. Plus the benefits, if any, were lousy.
The past twelve yrs I have been in house. For me, it has been more rewarding both financially and personally being inhouse. I understand everybodies situation is different, and am not making any judgements.
Just got back from an assignment out of town, this was the first time I had to travel. I volunteered, and could have made someone with less seniority do it.
