Make receivers cross-communication and linked. Dish can sorta do this with DishCOMM but they ought to do it where if one receiver doesn't detect the others, then it eventually shuts down. When the customer calls in with the error number, they can be transferred to a signal integrity que and they can check bootstrap numbers on all the boxes with the sub. Sub has them, and they get turned back. You have to have the box to get bootstrap numbers.
