Re: Remote Broadcasting

I've done this before, what you really need to do is get with your local public access station and get them on board. Thats the first thing. You need to know if they have the equipment to remote broadcast, and you need a way to insert your feed into the cable system. When we did it, we had to get Comcast on board to bring fiber and cable into the local high school for basketball games, and we put cable outside by the football field for football games. There is so much into it and without knowing the system you have set up there...here's my recommendation:

1) Talk to local public access station

2) Build a rapport with them, get the city to allocate more money for next years budget for the local public access station

3) Work it out with them and the cable company to get fiber and coax to where you want to broadcast from

or

Just tape them and broadcast from the public access station at a later date.

There is so much involved, and you most likely will have to wait to broadcast live next year.

Hope this helps,

Joe

It was then that Caroline remembered her kitchen back in Montana, with a stove that she might or might not have turned off, and so with a heavy sigh, she put down the penguin.
