Better make sure you can afford all the required insurances - general liability, auto, work comp, excess (umbrella), property. Liability will be your most expensive. Depending on your credit, you might not be able to find anyone to cover you. Some require huge down payments.
And believe the warnings about Comcast's payment schedule. You might think it all looks and sounds good - but the field supervisors aren't the ones processing your invoices. Most "primes" can go for months without getting paid - you'd better be able to defend yourself physically if you can't meet a payroll.
