Yup, dead serious.

Sub walks into the payment center and picks up HD/DVR. Goes home and shoves CVI cables up nose and calls to complain that it's not working right.
CS creates TC work order. In house tech goes out and does cust. ed. and knows that if sub gets charged for subs own mistake that he might end up carrying that HD/DVR back to the warehouse, so we blame it on the contractor....problem solved.
Primes see's charge back because his tech did a COS or install less than 60 days prior for above sub and passes it along to contractor. Seen it happen more then once.

Look into your contract. Equipment failure is on your arse for 60 days.

Makes a tech cringe every time somebody comes in and slams their CPE down on the floor during daily reconciliation knowing they might get that same CPE issued to them the next day.
