Re: California now and then

I talked to "old" timers out there= they were there 30 or 40 years ago, and the "changes in that short of period is like "night and day"! The way things "used" to be were quite different and quite nice. What you've got today, well, hopefully i won't have to go back there! Know a lot of folks out that way and my work has a damn good reputation! "But" every 3 years i had to take a "vacation" just to keep things in perspective. When i was "single" ( no responsibilities) my vacation lasted till i got down to the last $5000 bucks! 2 years later, didn't matter, there was "always" work to be had, makin' better than the "average" bear!
