Re: your supposed to use the red green pair right.

Pink and purple? I have been doing this a long time and I can't help but chuckle when I hear people use these terms for color code. There is no purple. It's Violet. In copper there is no pink. In fiber I have heard people call the 11th fiber pink, wrong, it's Rose. In copper you have 5 tip colors, white, red, black, yellow, violet, and 5 ring colors, blue, orange, green, brown, slate. (please don't say gray, it's slate) The combination of the 5 tip and 5 ring colors gives you your 25 pair group. When I first started in this business I was given a list of things that I would be fired for. Number one was I had one week to learn the color code.
