You believe what you want, but article II of the constitution requires our president to solemnly swear or affirm to preserve, protect and defend the constitution.
The patriot act, coupled with H.R. 6166 denies the people of their rights. In particular article I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VIII, XIV. Now, after reading those articles, you tell me does the president or congress need to be held accountable?
I do not know whether the president actually made the statement in question but I do know by the actions of congress and the president that our rights have been trampled and it will take years to overcome this abomination.
