Nearly all of the currency in circulation here in the US is fiat. There are still some silver certificate dollars (which are technically not fiat) running around but I doubt you would actually be able to demand silver in exchange for them.
If you want a different medium of exchange, you could try the Liberty Dollar or E-Bullion. I'm not totally sold on the idea of Liberty Dollars.
