El Monte is not exactly the best representation of the people in my state of California. How sad for you.
Most minorities (of color - not the new white minority) were sick of the LAPD and glad to see someone get off scott free - even if it was a murderer. Fuhrman was a good representative of what was wrong with the LAPD. That dept had been corrupt for years. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Cochran told the prosecutors not to put Fuhrman on the stand because he knew too.
