Folks,
By definition, virtually every post on the bar is an 'advertisement'. When you write of the quality of yours or some companies work, you are advertising. There's no escaping it. Try writing anything informative that concerns your work experience without it being an advertisement (or a 'reverse-advertisement' when calling out a hack). Not possible.
What I believe your concern is the question of... was the information written a 'self-serving' and 'unsolicited' advertisement. If so, please see the Big Duck's post. However, all are free to their interpretations of the written word. Best of luck to all.
