Help with Comcast Issue


I was working for Streamline Communications in Chicago, and they lost their contract 2 weeks ago. Without any warning we were out of work. I have applied to several different contractors in Chicago and suburbs and all are saying that they have to wait to here back from Comcast. Does anyone know why it would take so long for a profile to come back on a person who is still currently in the system (i check to see by logging in on technet everyday)? I have been working for at&t and comcast cable for the past 7 years. It has been 2 weeks without any type of work or income. Can anyone give me some type of feedback on this issue?????? Thanks!
