how much is worth travelling for?

this isn't a knock, just wanting input from you gypsies out there. how much money is worth travelling several states away for? i was thinking about a few weeks ouit of town cause things had been slow here, but the money i'm seeing advertised is just a few hundred a week more than i make at home most of the time. seems like at least an extra 8 or 9 a week to deal with the travel, fuel costs, and the expenses of living in a box eating out of the same.
