go to radioshack you can buy small portable lcd 2 aa tv's thats what we use , hell i even use it instead of a meter for installs sometimes if there is snow then there is a problem if its bright and loud no problem at all ofcourse sometimes there could still be a problem but im with you on spending 1500 for a meeter unless i need to detect leekage which guess what a small tv like the one im talking about does detect or ingress which it dont btw where is this audit? and why dont you just look up at the tap usually you can tell if they are connected whell wright back i might be interested in your project
