The Cable TV Board of Directors and I held a series of corporate meetings on the subject and voted to conclude that the question was a serious one and deserved better responses than "stick your tongue on it." Seriously, the guy just wanted to know what he could use to test on/off other than a costly meter designed to make calibrated measurements across a 1GHz spectrum. We don't know the details of the audit so it's not appropriate to turn it into a personal attack against someone who's just asking a question.
