In my opinion Bank of America is the worst bank in the US. Not just for its immigration thing, but the way it treats its own customers. Perdido Key Florida for example. I could be anywhere and someone would be complaining about a bank. I would ask them if they were talking about BofA. They always said yes. I heard these stories over and over. I had a BofA account in 2000. They promised one thing and did another leaving me with a snowballing negative balance. I wrote and wrote emails and they either didnt answer or just talked in circles..Im still trying to copies of my check statements they keep promising to send and never do. They won't even cash a check written on their bank, without 10 or 15 Id's, unless your an illegal alien then there is no problem.
If your going to open an account stay away from BofA. They are idiots when it comes to customer service.
