What you need to do is pick a data base software creation program that will allow you to set up an electronic amp log sheet database. You will define the fields such as pad and eq value, amp number etc... They use to sell a software version of this at office depot but I cant remember the name... heres an example... http://www.pendragonsoftware.com/googlePPC.html
Once you have the software, find a pda that it will run on... I programmed a black and white screen pda for this same purpose one time, then upgraded to a color screen and took the color screen back because it was hard to see the color screen in the sun. So be sure the pda you select has a screen that you can read outdoors in bright light...This is very important.
The programming of the software isnt that hard once you get use to the idea.. You can do things like set up all the eq values with a check box next to them so all you have to do is check the value...
Once you have the program done and have used it. You can install a PC database program like Access, and import your pda database fields into access and create a report form that virtually duplicates the cable co's amp log.... All printed and professional as hell.
For awhile, I would copy the data you entered to a paper amp sheet. just in-case and until you feel confident...
Its a lot easier using the PDA if you have set up the database program properly than trying to write on a piece of paper flapping in the breeze...
If you need further help, my email is (-REDACTED-)
Hope this helps..
