Using a stacked lnb and hi-frequency splitters is always an option. If the receivers are ever reset via the reset button by the access card, or a power outage, they default back to the "unstacked" mode. It could be a pain to reset 16 receivers to the stacked mode. All that you really save is running an extra line to the dish and the 2x16 switch.
We are currently maintaining a property (MDU) with a stacked system, and it really is more trouble than it's worth.
Remember, we're talking about a bar, and not an apartment complex.
I think that you're best bet is still a standard dish setup, two lines to the switch and agile mods.
