Re: A Question For The Satellite Experts....

I cannot believe that All of the replies are so off base on this one. First of all, it is not against DTV's policy to install 16 receivers on a commercial account. Second, you don't need a headend or four, four-way switches. Trust me, I do these types of installs EVERY DAY!

I install these types of systems all over Tennessee, and it is perfectly legal, without a headend, and only one dish and one switch.

Here's how you'll need to do it. One dish (preferably a 30") with a high gain LNB, pointed at the 101 satellite. This is assuming that you'll only be getting standard def, and no espanol. Take two leads from the dish to the 2x16 POWERED switch and feed the leads to your receivers. Then, leads out to your tv's, from the receivers.

You can also modulate each receiver to a specific channel. There are several manufacturers of cheap agile mods ($99-$199 ea.) that can do up to four channels per. Then you combine the mods with a reverse four-way splitter, and amplify the signal to your tv's.

HTH, and remember, there is always more than one way to skin a cat. (wink)
