I am currently a maintenance tech with a large cable company in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I am looking for advancement in the Washington D.C./Metro/Northern Va area. Although the company itself is large, my office is quite small so I have had the opportunity to do a little of everything. The following is a list of my skills, I would be happy to respond in detail to any serious inquiries.
* fiber optic splicing- use of OTDR, fusion splicer, etc.
* two way docsis modem install (both computer & RF sides). I am also responsible for Net ID and SNMPC maintenance in the head end.
* aerial and underground construction and splicing- maps, etc
* forward and reverse balance and sweep
* system maintenance and trouble shooting
* company certified at climbing/bucket truck operation
looking to upgrade
