You are so right Bucketboy. It drives me up a wall that this govenment is doing nothing about the gouging we are taking. The oil companies profited 36 bilion dollars last year. That is more PROFIT that any company in the history of the world. And it isn't something that is a luxury anymore. It is a necessity. People need it to get to work. People need it for transportation of all the items we use in our lives like food and clothing and tools for our trades and so on. So when the gas goes up everything does. People speak on how other countries pay more. Not much more now and there should always be a volume discount. Then the oil companies make sure to keep other energy alternatives out of the loop so we don't get any other choice. Clean energy. Renewable energy. Like ethanol. We grow corn in this country like crazy. But they are all money hungry and the more they get the more they want. Yes the middle class is taking it in the .......I really feel bad for people who can barely afford gas to get to work.
