Cox out here is saying to just make sure they have greater than 1 db at the tv set, if it still don't work, swap the card.
I wish the MSOs would tell the customers who want a cable card that they have to come pick one up and the only thing techs are going to do is ensure you have +1db at the TV and guarantee that the outlet is stable enough to run a standard digi box.
The only thing I do on the CCs is get the signal up where it needs to be and call in the numbers. I tell the customers I don't troubleshoot their equipment (TV). Those jobs I would rather just take the hit on my FCR.
