you are right that you do have to replace it. but when you give that money in the write offs up to some co. that tells you that oh we are just taking care of you with a truck gas and supplies. they still take it out of your check one way or the other. in most cases they take it out in a way that you as the installer cant take it off your taxes. but they sure can get it as a tax credit to the co. or themselves. these newbies or even some seasoned installers dont understand the way that they can use these tax breaks to thier advantage for themselves.
