Just one more word of caution if you are entering this business again. Techs are leaving the satellite industry in groves. Many I've spoken with said the fuel costs, and the prices they are paid for installs are not worth it.
One additional comment I have consistently heard of is the forever none bearing and renlentless disrespect techs receive from HSP and DirecTv and DishNetwork in general. The subcontarctor wo subs out to another sub in my opinion is worhtless. They steal the money of other techs, close shop and open under other names or move to other locations.
Keepmin mind, as hundreds of techs each day leave these jobs, some will be filled by none experienced techs, (many illegal aliens) while others are shifted to other subs to fill the void.
How techs can go on and permit such ruthless cheap labor, and accept this pattern of behavoir as favorable is beyond my scope of common sense and intelligence.
