we're still screwed, back to the main point...........the industry will sink lower and quality of work will drop MUCH lower because of the prices. my shop has people pissed when they get a new connect and HAPPY when they get three trouble calls a day. it blows my mind. i won't do this for less than a grand a week, but a guy actually BRAGGED to me the other day that he was home by 2 and made 100 bucks that day. by the way he works out of a cobalt and can't do two story trouble calls...........go figure. it's time to get out. for those of you/us (depending on if,when, how i do) thank those that left for your stable rates. they aren't rising. it's sad, but the mso's and service providers that claim they are in such stiff competition with each other won't pay the rates they used to to make sure their subs have a compentent man doing the work. this industry is a loser. sad thing is i was asked today why i was pissed about my route when i was making 3 times what cobalt-guy was making. i didn't bother explaining for the umpteenth time that i don't give a damn about what the pizza guy they've got doing installs makes. he doesn't exist in my world.
sorry for going too far.
have a good night.
thank you to all the vets.............hollidays lose their import for me when i work them all, but this one counts. i will be taking the fourth off however as my boys (3 and 1.5) will LOVE getting to throw a smoke ball and watch daddy with some artillery since the burn bans are now lifted.
